余振強紀念中學
On 16 April, Wednesday, 19 students and 5 leading teachers from the sister school in Hong Kong, Yu Chun Keung Memorial College, went to ASJ (Dongguan) for a school visit and cultural exchange activities. The event commenced with a school introduction by Mr. Samuel KAM, the Executive Principal of ASJ(Dongguan), who informed the guests about the school’s vision and mission, curriculum, teaching force, cross-curricular activities and students’ achievements.
4月16日(星期三),香港姊妹學校余振強紀念中學的19名學生及5位主科教師在副校長帶領下到訪東莞暨大港澳子弟學校,開展校際訪問及文化交流活動。活動伊始,東莞ASJ執行校長金禮賢先生向來賓們介紹了學校的愿景與使命、課程設置、師資力量、跨學科活動及學生成就等概況。
After the group-photo taking session, the students from Hong Kong started their class visits. The students from junior forms attended the Integrated Science lesson with our Grade 7 students. The students from both schools received the instructions from the Science teacher and conducted their experiments patiently and attentively. For senior form students, they attended the Biology lesson with Grade 11 students. After their Science lessons, the students participated in a PE lesson coached by our PE teacher. Students were all amazed by the beautiful and spacious surroundings and the well-designed learning tasks.
集體合影后,香港學生開啟了課堂觀摩體驗。初中部學生與學校七年級學生共同參與了融合科學課程。在科學教師的指導下,兩地學生專注而耐心地完成了實驗操作。高中部學生則與學校十一年級學生共同參與生物課程。課程結束后,學生們在體育教師指導下體驗了一節活力四射的體育課。來訪師生對學校優美的校園環境、開闊的教學空間及精心設計的課堂任務贊嘆不已。
For teachers, the Vice Principal of YCKMC conducted a sharing session focusing on “Self-directed Learning” with teachers from ASJ(DG). Apart from introducing the background information of his school, he described the measures that have been adopted for promoting students’ self-directed learning, such as, the implementation of self-study room. Teachers from ASJ(DG) were willing to seek advice and ask questions to the guests.
教師交流環節,余振強紀念中學副校長與東莞ASJ教師團隊圍繞"自主學習"主題展開研討。除介紹本校基本情況外,他重點闡述了促進學生自主學習的創新舉措,如設立自主學習室的實踐經驗。本校教師積極提問,現場互動氛圍熱烈。
The most exciting moment must be the basketball friendly competition that the basketball teams of two schools had after school. The teammates were all highly involved and had tried their very best to compete with each other. The whole event ended with students’ excitement and amazement. It is, in fact, a wonderful chance for students and teachers from two borders to learn from each other.
當日最激動人心的時刻當屬兩校籃球隊的課后友誼賽。隊員們全情投入、奮力拼搏,在歡呼喝彩聲中為本次活動畫上圓滿句號。這場跨越莞港兩地的教育交流,為師生搭建了互學互鑒的珍貴平臺。
